Ever since marrying George Clooney, Amal Clooney has captivated audiences with her elegant style and timeless beauty. As she graces each red carpet event, the curiosity about her secrets to looking fabulous only grows stronger.

As an experienced personal trainer, I've reviewed every interview she's conducted to bring you insights into her diet and exercise routine.

What are the key aspects of Amal Clooney's fitness routine and dietary habits that contribute to her enviable figure?

Keep reading and find out how you could incorporate it into a healthy lifestyle.

Diet Plan

Variety of healthy fruits and vegetables

Amal shocked the world after appearing in public a couple of months after giving birth to her twins, looking the same as before her pregnancy.

According to a magazine source, as her postbaby diet, Amal stuck to Mediterranean food, especially a fish diet where she had a light breakfast, such as a bowl of seaweed soup and an egg, while lunch and dinner were centered around fish and vegetables.

According to my nutritionist, beginning one's day with seaweed soup might be an important factor in achieving that coveted physique.

Various studies, such as the one published in the Nutrients journal, highlight the abundance of antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and fibers in seaweeds, which provide not only essential nourishment but also sustained fullness [1].

Even after her post-baby diet, she has introduced more variety into her daily routine but remained loyal to the seaweed soup.

Here’s everything the barrister eats in a day:

  • Breakfast: Rocket salad, seaweed soup, a boiled egg
  • Lunch: Spaghetti, meatballs or fish
  • Snack: Vegetables or a cracker
  • Dinner: Chicken breast in lemon sauce, turkey meatballs

The barrister values healthy eating. Amal employs a chef who cooks healthy dishes that all Clooneys like.

However, the family strikes a smart balance by indulging in a weekly 'cheat meal"—a pizza night.

She did an interview with Vogue reporter Nathan Heller, where she said that lunch and dinner are more important for her than breakfast and that she and her actor husband support each other in eating healthy food.

Amal Clooney Workout Routine

A woman wearing black sando working out in the gym.

One of the world’s top barristers, Amal is an exercise enthusiast. This is what her exercise routine looks like:

Day 1

Weightlifting:

  • Deadlift 4 sets 10 reps
  • Single-arm row 4 sets 10 reps
  • Dumbbell static lunge 4 sets 12 reps
  • Rope slams 4 sets 12 reps
  • Kettlebell 3 sets 10 reps

Amal rests for 30 seconds between each set.

Day 2

On day 2, Clooney switches from weightlifting to pilates exercise. After giving birth, she started doing pilates to shed the baby weight, and it worked great for her.

She does pilates for 30 minutes to improve her flexibility and work out the core muscles.

Day 3

On day 3, Amal is back in the gym. She does:

  • Leg press 2 sets of 15 reps
  • Goblet squat 2 sets of 15 reps
  • Seated cable row 2 sets of 15 reps
  • Dumbbell hammer curl 2 sets of 15 reps

Her goal on day 3 is to rest only 15 seconds between sets. In this way, she takes her fitness and body to the next level.

Day 4

Day 4 is reserved for tennis. Clooneys are huge tennis fans and regularly have their photo taken watching games on tennis competitions.

Yet, Amal and her husband George also play tennis at least once a week for one hour. It's a great way for them to both stay in shape while deepening their matrimonial bond.

Day 5

According to a Vogue source, George Clooney’s wife ends her weekly exercise plan with a walk.

Walking is a great low-intensity cardio exercise, which can get the heart racing, and it’s easy on the joints. Amal walks at least once a week for an hour.

In my experience, her workout routine is well-balanced and, with persistence, ensures excellent results.
