Starting his lifting journey with a broomstick and two cinder blocks, Larry Wheels Williams is now known for some of the most impressive lifts.

I’ve closely observed Larry’s physique and lifts over time. In my experience as a certified personal trainer, I’ve never come across someone who’s made gains as fast and incredible as him.

So I recently did extensive research into his photos and videos and compared them against my experience working with clients who relied on PEDs to find out whether Wheels is natty or not.

Was There Early Evidence That Larry Wheels Took Steroids?

Because Larry had a tumultuous childhood (going through foster care from ages 7 to 12), he found his passion for lifting in St. Martin.

After a friend introduced him to anabolic steroids, he quit doing drugs and replaced “one vice with another.”

“At that moment, I knew the risk. I was ready to die for it. I just wanted to be good at something so bad.”

- Larry Wheels, American Professional Powerlifter, Bodybuilder & Strongman

Wheels’ Views on Anabolic Steroids

According to Williams, using steroids was a better option than using hard drugs, but he does not condone going on a steroid cycle. The only reason he took it was because he found that performance-enhancing drugs were an excellent way for him to get stronger [1].

What did Larry Take?

Regarding his use of steroids, Larry has been open about what he’s taken and usually experiments with different gear depending on his goals.

When starting out with steroids, he claimed to have taken 1,200 milligrams of testosterone, including prohormones, trenbolone, dianabol, and a clone of superdrol, all in the same sixteen-week cycle.

That's not all. He went even further by experimenting with trenbolone acetate (400mgs doses) and trenbolone enanthate (450mg doses). This caused him extreme abdominal pain — a common side-effect of steroid use, according to a study from the Journal of Medical Case Reports [2].

Has Steroid Use Psychologically Impacted Larry?

It's unclear whether steroid use has impacted Larry Wheels psychologically, as he has not publicly addressed this aspect. However, the potential psychological impacts cannot be overlooked.

Athletes often face immense pressure to meet idealized body standards and achieve rapid performance enhancements, influenced by industry norms and role models.

These pressures can lead to a risky mindset where health concerns are secondary to physical achievements.

However, without direct statements from Larry, the extent to which these factors have impacted him personally remains speculative, underscoring the hidden dangers in this high-stakes environment.

Public Perception and Media Representation of Larry's Steroid Use

The media portrayal of Larry Wheels' steroid use significantly shapes public perception, especially in the realm of high-profile athletes. Media coverage often oscillates between sensationalism and critical analysis, influencing how society views steroid use among athletes.

This representation can lead to a stigmatized view of steroid users or, conversely, glamorize their achievements, disregarding the health risks involved.

The narrative around Larry's steroid use highlights the complex relationship between media, public opinion, and the ethical considerations surrounding performance-enhancing drugs in sports.

You can also speed up your efforts with bulking stacks that are based on legal and natural supplements.

If you are limited by your genetics, those legal steroid alternatives can increase your stamina, strength, and testosterone production and make your muscle growth more effective.

Was Larry Ever Tested For PEDs?

As far as we know, Wheels has not been tested for PEDs. This is likely due to the fact that he is publicly open about performance-enhancing drugs he uses and also because he competes in categories where only amateurs are subjected to drug testing.
